When using jet suction cutting torch, the suction force of cutting torch should be checked before installing acetylene rubber pipe. The method is to connect only the oxygen aerosol pipe and open the acetylene valve and oxygen on the cutting torch.


Valve, put your finger at the acetylene intake of the torch, if you feel suction, it shows good suction. Then check whether acetylene gas is flowing out normally in the acetylene rubber tube. Then put the acetylene rubber pipe on the cutting torch.

Before the torch is ignited, the connection and the air valves should be checked for air leakage.

3 It is forbidden to block the cutting nozzle with hands or other objects after the oxygen and acetylene valves are opened, so as to avoid backflow of oxygen into the acetylene supply system and cause tempering.

4. Turn on acetylene before ignition, then turn on oxygen valve to regulate flame. In this way, once a sign of tempering is found, the oxygen valve can be closed immediately and the fire can be extinguished. The disadvantage is the beginning.


Flames produce soot. Black smoke can be avoided if the oxygen valve is slightly opened first, then the acetylene valve is opened and ignited. But in the case of jet-suction cutting torch, if the torch leaks or the end of the cutting nozzle is blocked, tempering is easy to occur.


When igniting, the cutting nozzle should be leaned downward so as to avoid burning and injuring the body after ignition. Special ignition gun or ignition rope shall be used for ignition, and no cigarette butt shall be used for ignition. When using the jet-suction torch, the hand should be held on the bakelite handle, not on the mixing pipe, in order to avoid burning the hand once tempered.


6. Do not place the lighted torch on the workpiece or on the ground at will.

Once tempering occurs, the gas valve should be closed immediately and the oxygen valve should be closed again. After the tempering is stopped, the pressure reducer is loosened and the reason of tempering is found out before the ignition can be re-ignited. Before ignition, the soot in the mixing chamber of rubber hose and cutting torch should be blown off, and the cutting nozzle should be cooled in water.

When the flame is extinguished at the end of cutting, the jet-suction cutting torch should first concern about oxygen cutting, then turn off the gas valve, and finally turn off the preheated oxygen valve. Isobaric torch can concern about oxygen cutting first, then turn off the preheating oxygen valve.

9 When the cutting torch is not in use for the time being, it should not be placed in the tunnel, trench or under the workpiece or locked in the toolbox, so as to avoid leakage of acetylene due to improper valve, and the volume of acetylene in these spaces.

The gas-air mixture explodes when it meets Mars.

10) When working in Jiedong every day, the decompressor and cutting torch should be removed and the valves such as cylinders and gas paths should be closed.
