When using jet suction cutting torch, the suction force of cutting torch
should be checked before installing acetylene rubber pipe. The method
is to connect only the oxygen rubber pipe, open the acetylene valve and
oxygen valve on the cutting torch, and place the finger at the acetylene
intake of the cutting torch. If the suction is felt, the suction is
good. Then check the acetylene hose whether there is normal outflow of
acetylene gas in China. Then put the acetylene hose on the cutting torch
2 Before the torch is ignited, check the connection and whether the air valves are leaking.
3.
When both oxygen and acetylene valves are opened, it is forbidden to
block the cutting nozzle with hands or other objects, so as to avoid
backflow of oxygen into the acetylene supply system causing tempering.
4.
Turn on acetylene before ignition, then turn on oxygen valve to
regulate flame. In this way, once a sign of tempering is found, the
oxygen valve can be closed immediately and the fire can be extinguished.
The disadvantage is that the flame produces soot at the beginning.
Black smoke can be avoided if the oxygen valve is slightly opened first,
then the acetylene valve is opened and ignited. But in the case of
jet-suction cutting torch, if the cutting torch leaks or the end of the
cutting nozzle is blocked, tempering is easy to occur.
When
igniting, the cutting torch should be deviated to the outside so as not
to damage the body by flame after ignition. When igniting, special
ignition gun or ignition rope should be used instead of cigarette butt.
When using the jet-suction torch, the hand should be held on the
bakelite handle, not on the mixing pipe, so as not to burn the hand once
tempered.
6. Do not place lighted torches on workpieces or on the ground at will.
Once
tempering occurs, the gas valve should be closed immediately and the
oxygen valve should be closed again. After the tempering is stopped, the
pressure reducer is loosened and the reason of tempering is found out
before the ignition can be re-ignited. Before ignition, the soot in the
mixing chamber of rubber hose and cutting torch should be blown off, and
the cutting torch should be cooled in water.
When the
flame is extinguished at the end of cutting, the jet-suction cutting
torch should first concern about oxygen cutting, then turn off the gas
valve, and finally turn off the preheated oxygen valve. Isobaric torch
can concern about oxygen cutting first, then turn off the preheating
oxygen valve.
9 When the torch is not in use for the time
being, it should not be placed in the tunnel, trench or under the
workpiece or locked in the toolbox, so as not to leak acetylene from the
valve tightly, accumulate gas-air mixture in these spaces, and explode
when encountering Mars.
10 At the end of each day's work,
the decompressor and torch should be removed and the valves such as
cylinders and air passages should be closed.
